As a blockchain enthusiast, I have always aspired to contribute to building and growing the community. Back in 2019, when the dApp ecosystem was still in its infancy, gambling-related applications emerged as prominent examples of how blockchain could leverage transparency. EBSCasino was born in this context, with a mission to solve the gambling industry's biggest problem: transparency. By leveraging blockchain, the possibility of fraud between the house and players was entirely eliminated, ensuring absolute fairness. After just three months of development, EBSCasino launched and operated during the last six months of 2019. However, this period coincided with significant challenges in the cryptocurrency market, posing substantial hurdles.
Despite achieving some milestones, such as attracting nearly 100 test players, EBSCasino fell short of its expectations. After some time in operation, I had to pause the project.
The Present: A Revival on Aptos
The idea of reviving EBSCasino arose during a conversation with a friend involved in a project related to the Aptos blockchain. One of the most significant challenges for blockchain-based gambling platforms is randomness, a key factor in ensuring fairness in games. Aptos addressed this problem by integrating built-in randomness, providing transparency and reliability.
